Location: Optimal Clinic, Dubai Studio City.

Hours: Full-Time, up to 48 hours per week. This will be split 2 days Clinic Receptionist and 3 days Clinic Nurse.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join our clinical team as well as be part of our admin team. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. Any previous receptionist experience (in a clinic or elsewhere) is desirable, whereas nursing experience is compulsory.  

Key Responsibilities:
Clinic Receptionist

• Greet and welcome visitors and patients to the clinic.
• Ensure that the clinic is opened at the appropriate time.
• Register new patients by carrying out necessary documentation before they can be attended to by each clinician.
• Attend existing patients into the online clinical system.
• Show high levels of confidentiality on all matters relating to patients and information obtained in the course of employment in accordance with the Optimal Clinic policy. 
• Scheduling appointments for registered patients to see the appropriate clinician and update them if there are changes to their schedule.
• To be well informed about the operations and protocols of the clinic and are therefore able to provide correct answers to patients’ questions.
• Collect revenue by recording financial information; collect charges for services; and record be aware of insurance claims and procedures.
• Understand insurance packages and make necessary documents available to patients’ when the need arises.
• To use the electronic systems to enter patient data, access emails, and use IT skills when appropriate.

Clinic Nurse 

• Assist the Family Medicine Consultant with patient assessments, examinations, and treatment plans.
• Perform basic Nursing duties such as routine diagnostic checks, wound care, injections, and medication administration as directed by the Doctor.
• Obtain and record patients’ vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent information in their medical records.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for patient appointments.
• To take an active role in health promotion, patient education, rehabilitation exercises, and self-care techniques.
• To work successfully as part of multi and interdisciplinary teams. To create excellent professional relationships with appropriate clinical and non-clinical staff including Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Podiatrists, and Nutritionists, to ensure a cohesive and integrative approach to patient care.
• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and professional standards to maintain a safe and ethical environment.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements through CPD in Nursing practices to continuously improve patient care.
• To communicate effectively with patients and/or carers appropriate complex information regarding the patient’s medical condition and inform them of the benefits and risks of suggested treatment options as per the Doctors advice.
• To ensure confidentiality on all matters relating to patients and information obtained in the course of employment in accordance with the Optimal Clinic policy.
• To use the electronic systems to enter patient data, access emails, and use IT skills when appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current registration with Dubai Health Authority and any other recognised nursing board.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in General Practice, Sports Medicine or a related field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to a patient-centred approach and a passion for helping individuals achieve optimal health.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate patient schedules.
• Fluency in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.
