SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Elizabeth is a British trained Speech and Language Therapist with over 12 years experience. She qualified from University College London in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Sciences. She is a member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists UK and has worked for NHS England in a variety of specialities including Neurosciences, Intensive care and Ear Nose and Throat. Elizabeth is certified to treat a range of communication and swallowing disorders and is also certified in Videoflouroscopy and Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of swallowing.

Most recently Elizabeth was the Clinical Lead Speech & Language Therapist for Neurosciences at St Georges University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London. Prior to this she worked as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at Imperial College London in Neurosciences and Intensive care and has also treated patients being seen at the National Centre for Airway Reconstruction in the UK. During this time Elizabeth has treated some of the patients with the most complex communication and swallowing difficulties in the UK.

Elizabeth has a strong research background focusing on the role of the Speech and Language therapist during awake brain surgery and has a strong interest in working with patients with brain tumours. Her other specialist interest is in treating swallowing difficulties arising from a range of aetiologies and has frequently provided teaching on this topic.
