FAMILY MEDICINE CONSULTANT

Dr Lindsey Bluett is a British trained, experienced Family Medicine Consultant with a passion for providing thorough, holistic, patient-centred, clinical care of patients of all ages. She has additional special interests in both women’s and mental health.

Dr Lindsey Bluett qualified from Kings College London School of Medicine in 2008 and spent her junior doctor years in teaching hospitals in London before being accepted on the highly regarded Riverside GP training scheme based in Chelsea. Busy jobs in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Psychiatry and Paediatrics amongst others before working in general practice, provided invaluable experience in such vital parts of family medicine that she has used on a daily basis since becoming a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2016. She continues to be registered with a license to practice with the General Medical Council in the UK. 

She has a passion for medical education and whilst in the UK, was a GP tutor for the University of Oxford Medical School and she continues to be an Educational Supervisor for them whilst living in Dubai. She also gained the diploma of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists in 2011 and has a passion for providing excellent care to women at all stages of their lives, understanding how closely their physical and emotional wellbeing are interlinked.

Since then Dr Bluett has worked in the United Kingdom within NHS General Practice which challenges enabled her to gain vast experience in managing acute and chronic conditions in adults and children. She believes in the importance of continuity of care and the ‘whole-person’ approach to medicine and is very excited to have the opportunity to provide this within the Optimal Clinic.
