PRACTICE NURSE

Carols journey began in Perth, Scotland. She qualified as a nurse from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and then further developed her qualification to degree level at Dundee University.

Carol worked as a staff nurse specialising in laryngectomy and tracheostomy care in Ear, Nose & Throat and maxillofacial wards and High Dependency Unit for a decade. She loved this job but it became more challenging working shifts once she had children.

She embarked on a new chapter in her career and worked as a GP Practice Nurse for 7 years and worked with her own patients for varying treatment including wound care, treating leg ulcers, vaccinations, ear syringing, venepuncture, cervical screening, ECGs, suture removals, flu clinics & minor injury assessments. Carol is excited about setting up and running the new vaccination clinic at Optimal Clinic.
